Selati Photo safari 17-19 Nov 2014

03rd February 2015
I hosted David from Austria on a 2 day Photographic Safari at Sabi Sabi's Selati lodge, David was new to Wildlife Photography so we spent some time setting up the cameras menu to best suit Wildlife photography, we focus calibrated all his lenses and we did a theory session on Wildlife photography and what to expect.

Next was the practical component to the Safari and we had a great time with some wonderful sightings, David did really well and quickly mastered the basics of Wildlife photography and before long we were shooting at night in Manual mode with good results.

We had good sightings on Lion, Leopard,Cheetah, Buffalo and Ellies, we also spent quality time with a pack of African Wild dogs as they chased impala and Waterbuck one afternoon but without success !

All images photographed using Nikon D4 and D800 cameras, Nikon 200-400 f4 and 70-200 F2.8 lenses as well as SB 910 for fill flash, I also used Cam Ranger to get a great low angle image of a Wild dog as he was resting in the shade on the last morning of our Safari.
